Barbara Faye Waggoner
February 27, 1939 - August 5, 2026
Our beautiful mother, Barbara Faye Waggoner, went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2026, at age 87. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her warmth, laughter, wisdom, integrity, and extraordinary elegance.
Barb was born in Chicago to Florence "Bunny" Mohr Waggoner and Raymond Meinell Waggoner. Raised in the Episcopal Church, and later baptized Roman Catholic, putting God first was at the center of her life. She was preceded in death by her brilliant older brother, Raymond Mohr Waggoner, and beloved daughter, Danielle Dumontier (Williamson) Call.
Barb attended Anna Head School for Girls in Berkeley, California, then Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and San Jose State University in San Jose, California, studying Early Childhood Education.
She worked as a flight attendant for Western Airlines and TWA before marrying Dan (Daniel Alvin Williamson) in November 1963. They were blessed with three children; Raymond Waggoner, Laura Denise, and Danielle Dumontier. Their family lived in Moraga, California and Kent, Washington, where Barb focused on raising their children. She then worked in retirement-community management in Washington, and later enjoyed a career in retail in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
She loved horses, golf, gardening, antiques, interior design, flowers, and travel, especially Lake Tahoe and Hawai'i. She was always lovely, graceful, and beautifully put together, with a timeless sense of style. Barb adored her grandchildren Daniel, Lauren, and Brooke, and great-grandchildren Malachi, Elijah, Georgiana, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Arielle, Barrett, and Dahlia, with another lovingly anticipated in November.
She was also deeply involved in her community through the Ladybug Chapter of the Children's Home Society of Contra Costa County, California, and The Mechetti Chapter of the Spokane Symphony Associates in Washington, giving her time and heart to causes she cherished.
Her "Live, Laugh, Love" charm reflected how she lived with joy, love, and a positive spirit. She taught gratitude, kindness, good manners, and handwritten thank-you notes. We take comfort knowing Mom is now home with her Lord and Savior, at peace and reunited with those she loved who went before her. Rest peacefully, Mom. You were loved beyond words and will live forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, we love you, always and forever.
