Brett Chapman

Brett Paul Chapman, 33, of Spokane, Washington passed away January 17, 2014 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Brett was born August 15, 1980 in Spokane, Washington to Myrl and Michal (Madsen) Chapman. Brett attended and graduated from University High School in 1998. He then went on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania mission. After his mission Brett returned to Spokane, Washington, where he met his " beautiful girl" Kasi Hirschi. They were later married August 3, 2002 in Brett's parents' backyard. They were able to enjoy 11 wonderful years together and were blessed with three children Noah, Jonah and Brooklyn. Music played a big part in Brett's life. He played guitar, wrote his own music, and was the lead vocalist for his band Mishap. He also was very artistic, was good with his hands, and enjoyed doing woodworking. He loved spending time with his family, camping and playing outside with his kids. Brett was always eager to lend a helping hand and tried to put a smile on everyone's face. He had many friends and was loved by all. Brett is survived by his loving wife Kasi Chapman and their two sons Noah and Jonah Chapman and daughter Brooklyn Chapman of Spokane, Washington; his parents Myrl and Michal (Madsen) Chapman of Spokane Valley; one brother Shane (Kim) Chapman of Spokane Valley; two sisters Wendy (Kevin) Folsom of Spokane Valley, and Becky (Charles) Henderson of Spokane Valley; and 12 nieces and nephews.
