Clyde Donald Piephoff

Clyde Donald Piephoff was born on April 9, 1928, and passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on January 12, 2025. Clyde’s wife, Frances Cecelia Rippon Piephoff, after 73 years of marriage, preceded him on October 8, 2021.

Clyde often talked about his service time in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After transitioning out of the military, he was most proud of becoming a member of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. His son and grandson followed him. With three generations in the Fire Service, Clyde had the opportunity to share numerous stories during his retirement years.

Clyde and Frances raised four children: Clyde Doyle Piephoff, Linda Pittman, Sherry Smith, and Sandra Miller.

Graveside services are on July 23, 2025, at Riverview Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
