Corey Wren, 50 years Young

Corey S. "GOLDNCHILD" Wren was laid to rest at 50 on July 23rd 2026 in Spokane Valley where he lived with his wife Diana. He grew up all over this area, went to high school up at Rogers in North Spokane. He married the love of his life June 24th 2022 after being together for 3 years and had four wonderful years as a loving and devoted husband. Corey loved to melt metal, it didn't matter to him what it was from aluminum to Silver to Copper and even dabbled with a little brass smelting at home, that's how much it fascinated him. Corey was proud to own his own home, a yard he got to nurture and boy did he. When we moved in almost 5 years ago the yard was dirt and Weeds now the front yard is beautiful with grass and his little five baby trees that he planted he was so proud of them we were going to watch them grow as we grew old together Corey had a smile that melted your heart his eyes were so full of love even after death he was a proud organ donor still helping people. Besides his wife Corey had a mistress which was Fiona his first Harley-Davidson which he purchased from his aunt a day after him and his wife had started dating. He loved to ride, love the open road and he truly loved that bike, and the freedom that that bike meant he had. That was one thing Corey and Diane shared together from day one. One of the best things. Corey was Corey, he stood up for what he believed in, he was kind and generous and so full of life everyone loved Corey and with his smile you couldn't stay mad but Corey didn't back down either, very stubborn and set in his ways. It was hard to change his mind about something once he made it up.

Corey was survived by a lot of people. his loving mom Sheila, his beautiful sister Katrina or Tina as we've always called her. his Aunt Peggy and his uncle Danny and his grandmother who is still alive. Then there is a whole bunch of cousins which I have not met yet there is one in particular though he had gotten close to in the last few years and that was Erik Sailor. Corey also had a stepson from a previous relationship and you know people may break up but kids are forever Corey had a good Bond with his son Greg and never stopped calling him his son talked about him quite a bit he was very proud of Greg. Corey had some great friends too and I'm not talking friends that call you when they need to borrow $20 I'm talking the friends that just wanted to hang out and know about your life, didn't want anything from you just wanted to be there with you. he had a lot of fun riding with Josh and Kyle and whenever Harvey or Jamie would come over he would light up couldn't wait to tell them what had been doing or showing them a new bike part that he got or something that he was really excited about and oh my gosh so many more I could really go on Corey was a well-liked individual he could go into a room of 100 people and walk out with 90 friends.

Corey was also very proud to be a member of DDARC which is disease and disabilities Advocates Riding Club who gave back to the community every year by giving kids who couldn't afford it backpacks with school supplies or around the time of Summer a whole bunch of bikes would get together and we'd go around to all the lemonade stands to help all the little entrepreneurs on the side of the road, That really made Corey feel good and he loved seeing all the kids have fun. He was very excited and proud when he was asked by Darren and Debby to be Road captain he was very proud of that position even though Corey couldn't really talk in front of a whole bunch of people without getting too nervous but he did his best. thank God we had somebody else to step in or we might have gotten lost that ride. so many members who loved Corey he had that way about him on the road or off Corey had your back. he would be so happy to know that they are taking care of his wife she wouldn't have been able to get through this hard time without Debby and Darren not only have they helped her figure out how to maneuver this new world she's been thrown into but they've also helped her with some difficult decisions and they've held her hand along the way so she wouldn't get lost. the whole group has been there for her, he would be so happy from daily check-ins to making sure she eats she still has family. DDARC helped show Corey what family means and I'm not talking about blood. I'm talking about a strong bond between a close-knit group of people who share the love of the road that's honestly what brought us all together the love of the road and two wheels. Shine bright, the event that the group puts on handing out backpacks to kids, was Corey's favorite activity he loved making the cotton candy and handing it out to the kids and all the kids' faces. Since we had so much, he loved to help the families that couldn't afford it. Our DDARC family also taught us you never leave a brother or sister behind Corey and his wife were on a bike ride going to the swing Bridge with the club when Corey's bike malfunctioned and ended up breaking down on his way home. him and his wife were stranded on the side of the road and went to 360 to put their beacon on told the club keep going enjoy your ride we'll figure it out, but that's not what they had in mind. First Frank and Carma turned around, they were going to grab their truck and trailer when we turned around the rest of the club was on their way. made sure to stay with us until we were safe now that's family and you don't have to be blood to realize what you have family is forever whether it be blood or not. Corey understood this. Corey is now gone from this Earth but the way he touched people's hearts he will never be forgotten.
