Diana Beatrice Bear (Roberge) age 90, passed away on August 5th, 2021, in Coeur d’ Alene Idaho. Diane was born on August 18th, 1930, in Massena, New York to Alphonse Joesph Roberge and Rose Elizabeth Vari. Diane was the second oldest of twelve children. Diane’s parents moved the family from New York to Spokane WA when Diane was a young girl to take a job with Kaiser Aluminum. The family mainly grew up in Coeur d’Alene Idaho.
Diane was a strong, loving, and adventurous woman. Her favorite memories were gold mining with her husband John, in Alaska, the Yukon and in Arizona. She loved to travel and see new places. She had an amazing ability to tell stories about her adventures with a wit and humor like no other.
Diane’s true love was her family. She was always there if anyone needed help or advice. Diane was especially close to her sister and best friend, Rose Zinkgraf and her sister Cookie. Diane Loved her family and friend’s wholeheartedly, she always found the best in people and loved without judgement. She will always be known for her amazing sense of humor and her witty ways. and for her abundant generosity towards others.
As a true Roberge, Diane loved her Bingo and made many friends at the cda greyhound park, she was loved by many people there. She could often be found at the Coeur d’ Alene casino as well and she was a VIP there.
Diane was preceded in death by her first husband Norman Bear and her second husband John Tillotson and by her parents Alphonse and Rose Roberge. Diane was also preceded in death by her brothers, Phil Roberge, Dave Roberge, John Roberge, Pete Roberge, Eugene Roberge, and by sisters, Lillian Dehle and Joan Betz.
Diane Is survived by her daughter, Maxine Bear Mooridian and son in law Michael, in Alaska and by her stepdaughter Candace and son in law from Livingston Montana and by her daughter in law, Candace Miller and (son in law, Ralph). She is also survived by her brother Frank Roberge (sister-in-law Diane) her sister Rose Zinkgraf (brother-in-law Jim), sister, Cookie Adolphson , and sister Annette Fuller (brother-in-law Don). She is also survived by her special adopted nieces, Tracie and Karlie O’hearn from El Mirage, Arizona. Diane had four granddaughters, Teresa, Marlys, Tama, and Davina all from Alaska. Diane was blessed with 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Diane is also survived by many many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She will be greatly missed by so many as she left a great impression on the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
