Donna Lea Espinoza

February 17, 1936 — January 27, 2022

Donna Lea Espinoza passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 27, 2022. Donna was born in Ferndale, Washington. She was the third child born out of four to Howard and Clemmie Doane. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two older sisters and younger brother. Donna is survived by her husband Ruben (nearly of 67 years) her daughters Sheryl and Holly, her grandsons Phillip and Aaron and great grandsons Logan and Finn. She lived in northwestern Washington until she left to join the Navy after graduating high school. In Florida she met her husband at the training center. She married the Marine and followed him out to the west coast. They had their two daughters in California before he was deployed to Japan. The family lived in Japan for four years the returned to the states. Over the years Donna took college courses in business management, accounting, art, Spanish and received a certification as an Aesthetician. She worked in the Accounting sectors of hospitals, financial institutions and manufactures. She often would be placed in positions of management. Before retiring she was Credit Manager of a large nation-wide furniture manufacture in California. Which also included being the manager over the company's two accounting departments. She loved to problem solve and manage the logistics in business. In her spare time she enjoyed hunting down antiques for her various collections as well as occasionally being a vendor in an antique mall. She loved old westerns, especially if they had John Wayne in them. She also enjoyed attending California Angel's baseball games when she lived in Anaheim and rooting for her favorite football teams in front of the television with her family. Donna was a strong woman despite her size. Her acting classes in high school helped her to project herself in any situation. Her fun loving flare for the 'dramatic' never left her. Her caring nature will be missed.
