In Loving Memory of Eva Leonelia Leech

December 17, 1949 – 2026

Eva Leonelia Leech was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by faith, family, kindness, and an extraordinary capacity to love others without judgment.

Born on December 17, 1949, to Leonard and Tabitha Eastman, Eva grew into a woman whose greatest joy came from the people she loved and the faith that guided her throughout her life.

Eva was the loving wife of Gary Leech and the devoted mother of Jacquelyn Maker (Mike),Jonathan Sisco (Sonja), Joshua Leech (Meghan), and Jeremy Leech. Her family continued to grow through the years, bringing her the tremendous joy of becoming a grandmother to Isaac Sisco, Abigail Aker, Chloe Burch, Luke Sisco, Molly Leech, Jackson Leech, Joseph Leech, Jacob Leech, and Jefferson Leech, and a great-grandmother to Asher Burch, Adalia Burch, and Briella Burch.

To know Eva was to know what it meant to be loved. She had a special way of welcoming people into her heart exactly as they were. She loved first, without judgment, and offered kindness, compassion, encouragement, and grace freely. Her family and friends were never left wondering how much they meant to her.

At the center of Eva’s life was her faith in Jesus Christ. It was not simply something she spoke about; it could be seen in the way she lived. Her faith was present in her love for her family, her compassion for others, her willingness to forgive, and the grace she extended to those around her. Through both joyful and difficult seasons, her faith remained a source of strength and hope.

Eva’s greatest legacy cannot be measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the lives she touched and the love she gave. That legacy lives on through her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and through the many friends and family members who were blessed to know her.

Although her absence leaves an immeasurable space in the hearts of those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing that the faith Eva carried throughout her life has now brought her home. Her family will continue to honor her by carrying forward the example she gave them: love first, judge no one, extend grace, cherish family, and keep faith in Jesus Christ at the center of life.

Eva was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed. The love she gave so freely will remain with her family and friends for generations to come.

A Memorial Service celebrating Eva’s life and faith will be held at HungryGen Church Spokane

1222 S McDonald Rd Spokane Valley, WA on September 12 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at Duncan Meadows in Manito Park, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful life and lasting legacy of Eva Leonelia Leech.
