Frances Maxine Lewis

Frances Maxine Lewis passed away July 24, 2023 due to heart complications. Frances was born on June
4, 1945. Originally from Ohio, she moved to California where she and her family lived during her
working years. For over 30 years, Frances worked in the insurance industry as a claims professional.
Her career allowed her to combine her intellectual skills and caring and compassion traits to set herself
apart. For years she was an educator for IEA sharing her knowledge and experience with new
examiners as they began their insurance career. After retirement, she, her husband Dave and late son,
Brett Maret moved to Post Falls, Idaho. At home, Frances was a fun- loving kind person who loved her family
and friends. Being a mom and grandma was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed playing card games,
going to Bingo, having lunch with her friends, and watching a good movie. She had an open heart to
those less fortunate. She often thought of others first and would go out of her way to assist in any way
she could. Fran loved the holiday season, especially Christmas as it allowed her to share her joy and
love with others. Frances is survived by David Lewis, her husband of 35 years, her children Tina Carrillo, Tim Maret,
and Brett Maret(deceased) and 4 grandchildren, Mark Maret, Mikayla Carrillo, Kevin Maret, and Kaylee Maret.
