Fred William Stamm
March 12, 1948 to January 1, 2026

Fred was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Milton and Gearldine Stamm, the third rambunctious boy of six. He was always active in the neighborhood track meets, football games, and any other activity the boys would come up with. Fred wrestled for both Lincoln High School and the University of Nebraska. Fred re-lived his love of wrestling by attending almost all of his great-nephew Brandon's meets. Fred's claim to fame was wrestling the legendary Dan Gable. We believe he came up "short". Fred graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966 and continued his education at the University of Nebraska, where he received a degree in Business Administration. Fred had a long career designing commercial kitchens for venues like sporting stadiums, schools, restaurants, and more. Fred could fill the room with laughter as he told stories about his wild antics throughout his life, and blaming his brothers when facing his Father, who was a Colonel in the Army. Sports played a huge part in Fred's life, and he was an avid fan of all the University of Nebraska sports and would never give up on the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed playing golf, collecting video games, and playing blackjack.
Fred is survived by his partner, Sherryl Cummings, referred to by Fred as Sho, and brothers Jack(Gaynelle), Rod (Debbie),
Don(Judy), Alan, Bob(Jodie), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held
