Gary George Engman

Gary George Engman passed peacefully from this life, December 27, 2023,  in Coeur d’Alene Idaho at the age of 76. Gary was born March 05, 1947, to  George Albert Engman and Patricia Ruth Hintermann. He grew up and  went to school in California. Gary held many jobs in his life but his  professional calling was as an accountant. Gary served in the United States  Marine Corp during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969 and was honorably  discharged from military service as a Corporal. He was an avid hunter,  fisherman and traveler. He shared these passions with his friends taking  many vacations, hunting and fishing trips especially loving forestry and  wildlife wilderness areas. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Karina Marie Castro. He is survived  by his daughter Laura Marie Engman and his grandchildren -Laura’s  children: Anthony Luis Engman, Brandann Robert Engman, Henry,  Molly May, and a few more baby blessings of joy; his great grandchildren - Karina’s children: Daniella Marie and Isabella Marie; and his dearly  beloved pets: Kato-Akita, Rocky-Ausi Shepherd, and Squeaks-Kitty Cat.  Gary’s pets provided much peace in their loving companionship being a  special joy and a daily comfort to him. Kato lay at his bedside while Rocky  and Squeaks could almost always be found snuggled up at his side. Family  and friends would like to thank Gary’s medical team at Kootenai Health  Hospital, Kootenai Clinic Vascular Surgery, North Idaho Orthopedics,  Kaniksu Medical, Eden Home Health and Visiting Angels Home Health for  the wonderful and kind care provided to Gary in his final year.
