In Loving Memory of Ginger Lou Lebsack
October 13, 1947 to June 18, 2026
Ginger Lou Lebsack also known growing up as “Chici,” flew home to Heaven on June 18th, 2026. She has been living in Post Falls, Idaho for the past four years with her daughter and family. Previous to Idaho she lived in Modesto, California near her son and his family. She is proceeded in death by her father and mother Mel and Ferne Simpson (Reynolds), older brother Tom, and older sister Terry of Ft. Collins Colorado.
Ginger was born October 13, 1947 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She had an older brother Tom and sister Sharon which we called “Terry” or Aunt Nanny. She grew up in a home of faith, family and fun. She had many animals: horses, cows, goats and even a pet racoon that she raised from three weeks old named “Jeff” who weighed 30 pounds by 6 months. She was involved with 4-H and was the Miss Angus Queen with her cow she named “Jubilee.” She graduated from Ft. Collins High School and attended Beauty College.
Ginger married the love of her life on August 19th, 1966. She gave her heart away to Ronald Eugene Lebsack better known as “Ronnie.” They had a wonderful life and a beautiful marriage. Ron was a dairy farmer and she was a wonderful stay at home mother. Life wasn’t always easy but they stuck it out together and made it through some very tough times. They had two children Wendy Renee Wagoner who was born on Ginger’s 20th birthday in 1967 and Steve Eugene Lebsack their son also born in October in 1972. Ginger lost her love in 2010 to cancer and at the young age of 62 Ron was gone and entered into Glory.
Ginger did have several jobs over the years…a beautician, raised two children, worked for the Wellington school library, cleaned churches, became a realtor in California, worked for the Coeur d’Alene Resort Boat Shop as the front receptionist for 8 years, cleaned houses after the loss of her husband and finished strong caring full time for her great-grandson from birth until almost four years old. She was a Pastor’s wife and served right along side with support and help for many years.
Ginger grew up in Ft. Collins, met Ron and lived on a Dairy Farm Wellington, Colorado. They traded their farm in Wellington for a 1600-acre wheat farm in Mitchell, Nebraska. Those were the most fun and most devastating years of their lives all at the same time. After the loss of their farm, they moved with their kids to Modesto, California. California is where they pastored the great congregation of People’s Christian Fellowship otherwise known as the “Filling Station.” The memories and friends made at the “Filling Station” are truly irreplaceable. After they retired from the ministry they moved to Rathdrum, Idaho in 2005. After her husband passed away, she moved back to Modesto and lived in her own little house in Escalon. Upon hearing the need for help with her new great-grandson she returned to Post Falls, Idaho where she began watching her ‘Sweetest Heart she ever did have’ Kaden. Ginger lived with her daughter Wendy and son-in-law Denny for the past 4 years. She experienced much joy living with family, raising a garden and helping where she was needed.
She accomplished one of the greatest rewards on earth; her legacy of faith was shared and passed down to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Her reward on earth was to see her family serving the Lord all the days of their lives. She also deserves “The Best Mom in the Whole World Award”. She deserves that and more. She never stopped serving the Lord even thru the most difficult of seasons…she was a Pillar!
Ginger loved to laugh, joke around and have fun! She provided so much joy to all of us. Her love of life, faith and family will be passed down for generations. She loved to decorate, garden, cook, bake and in the last year make the sweetest aprons. She was baking ‘Mini Pies’ made of rhubarb from the garden. She was a farm girl at heart and carried the special heart of a pastor’s wife.
Ginger better known as “Grammy” is survived by her daughter Wendy and son-in-law Denny Wagoner of Post Falls, Idaho and her son Steve and wife Cristie Lebsack of Oakdale, California. Her grand-daughter Spencer and Jon Newsom, grandson Mason and Sydney Wagoner. Her grand-daughter Maci Lebsack and grandson Jaden Lebsack. Her great-grandson the “sweetest heart she ever did have” Kaden Asher Newsom and Baby Newsom on the way.
Thank you for all the love and support family and friends have given. The last 4 months have been a hard season. Now Ginger is no longer suffering but she is dancing on the streets of gold, swimming in the Crystal Sea and praising our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Someday we will all be reunited again forever…we will miss you mom like no other!
