Joshua Trex Giddings

On the morning of July 24, 2026, with a smile on his face Josh headed for work. A short while later his life on earth was complete and he passed away after his work truck left the highway.

Josh was an accomplished heavy machinery mechanic for ACI where he had been employed since his graduation from high school, except for a year or so when he owned and operated a log truck.

Joshua Trex Giddings was gladly welcomed by his parents, the late Claude Giddings and Peta on February 27, 1975. He was born in Grand Forks, British Columbia while his family lived in Republic, Wash. A sister, Jolene Crystal joined the family in 1976 while they lived in Coulee Dam, Wash.

After the death of his father Claude in 1980 his mother, Peta married Mark Bremner in 1986 and gained two stepsisters Tracie Lynn and Terra Michele. The family moved to Hayden Lake, Id. where Josh graduated from high school. He worked alongside Mark while he was growing up, learning mechanical and driving skills since Mark operated a gravel hauling business.

In Jan. 1994 Josh married Joleen Williams and he was blessed with his daughter, Heather Faith. Their marriage ended as he and married Amanda Jones on July 24, 2004. In 2012 they were blessed with a son, Tyler Lee.

Josh loved to be off grid, “up the river” where he, his family and friends would camp, ride four wheelers, laugh and relax. He also liked to take his family and play in the sand dunes with the Razor. A couple years ago he and his wife celebrated their wedding anniversary in Oregon and discovered a love of deep-sea fishing.

To celebrate Josh’s 50th birthday in 2025 the whole family took a cruise to Alaska, including his two precious grandsons, Finlee and Ryker Tresham and special nephew, Mason Lucas. He’s also survived by son in law, Marcus Tresham and brother-in-law, Danny Lucas. Such good memories.

Josh loved his family from the “bottom of his heart” and was available to help whenever needed. He will be remembered and honored the rest of our lives.
