Kelly Brett Wilson

July 1st of 1969 Jim and Ruth Ann Wilson brought a baby boy into this world, he left us much too early on August 17th 2026. Kelly Brett Wilson, affectionately known to a few close friends and family as Kelly “Brat” was a son, brother, uncle and partner, but most importantly to him- he was dad to his girls. Kelly loved them with his whole heart. Kilee, Karee and Kaydee will have memories of musical car rides, fishing, picnics at Boundary Creek, and sunrises watched from Ball Creek; because those were places he was most at home. Kelly loved the outdoors, mountain tops and creek bottoms that our family lovingly calls the church of the rainbow trout. He was at home with the quiet and where we will always feel his presence these days where he only lives on in those memories. Time and circumstances separated his youngest daughter, Emma, but she was always in his heart. We hope that someday she will be able to know him through her sisters, grandmother, aunt and all the other people who knew and loved him.

Roadsport Auto Glass was Kelly’s other “baby.” Kelly owned and operated his business for 34 years, until illness forced his retirement in 2023. It was amazing to see that his business relationships were much more than transactional over the last three years when his friends came to visit and support him long after his doors were closed. Friends and family alike are who matters in the end and it was touching to see the people who remained in his life long after the transactional part was over.

His partner, Julie, was his rock throughout his extended illness and we cannot thank her enough for her unwavering love and support over the past few years.

Our family will be holding an informal gathering on July 1st 2027 at Hittle Cabins on the Moyie River at 2:00 pm; there will be shrimp and laughter and some tears, but we hope anyone who loved him will join us in celebrating the man we knew.
