Kenneth William Simpson, a beloved figure whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of all who knew him, passed away peacefully at home in Hayden, Idaho on July 14, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on February 27, 1952, in Spirit Lake, Idaho, Kenneth grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the forests and mountains that would inspire his lifelong passion for logging and the great outdoors.

Throughout his life, Kenneth was known for his inviting and upbeat personality. He had an unparalleled ability to make others feel at ease, often accompanied by his great sense of humor that could light up even the dullest of days. Kenneth's welcoming nature attracted friends and family alike, creating lasting bonds filled with laughter, love, and shared memories.

As a career logger, Kenneth dedicated himself to his work, which allowed him to appreciate nature in all its splendor. His hobbies reflected this passion; he delighted in outdoor adventures such as snowmobile riding, fishing, and huckleberry picking. Kenneth also had a particular fondness for horses and old cars, treasures he cherished throughout his life. Kenneth's legacy continues to thrive through the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Norene Wickstrom, and his children: Kannita, Jenny, Shane, Shamara, Branden, Kendra, and Dustin. Each of them carries with them cherished memories of their father, uncle, and brother, forever holding dear the lessons he taught and the kindness he exhibited in every aspect of his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Cecilene Simpson, who instilled in him the values that shaped his character and outlook on life. Their love and guidance laid the foundation for the remarkable person he became.
