Larry Charles Miller, age 77, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away in Post Falls on December 24, 2025. He was born on June 27, 1948, in Allegan, Michigan, to the late Ralph and June Miller.

Larry grew up in Plainwell, Michigan, and later attended Michigan State University. On August 19, 1972, he married the love of his life, Charlene (Croswell), and together they built a life rooted in family and community.

Larry served his country in the United States Army, proudly completing his service from December 1969 through November 1970. Following his military service, he began a long and meaningful career with the Idaho Department of Fish & Game, working as a Conservation Officer from 1978 to 2003. He also served as a Hunter Education Instructor, sharing his knowledge, safety values, and deep respect for the outdoors with younger generations. Many in the community will remember him as a dedicated Little League baseball coach who encouraged every child to do their best.

Larry was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, snowmobiling, and riding ATVs. He was a member of several organizations, including the Elks and the NRA, and he valued fellowship, friendship, and time spent around a campfire with those he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Miller of Rathdrum, and his children Justin and Melissa Miller, and Kyle and Tara Miller, all of Rathdrum. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Taylan, Haley, Karsyn, Taylor, Emma, Ryan, Paige, and CeCe.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and June Miller, and his siblings, Linda Holmes and Lee Miller. He is also remembered by many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Larry will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the lives he guided, and the countless moments shared in the great outdoors he cherished so deeply.

May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in peace.
