Michael Lane Heath

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Heath, who left this world on August 19, 2024, at the age of 54. A beloved father, veteran, and friend, Michael's journey through life touched many hearts.

Born on May 9, 1970, in South Bend, Washington, Michael had a spirit that reflected the beautiful landscapes of the Washington coast, where he lived for many years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1988 to 1992, and carried with him the values and lessons learned during his time in service.

Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Last working at Frey Dock and Barge alongside his son, Jedidiah, from 2020 to 2023, he shared his knowledge and passion for hard work with the family he cherished. His hobbies included fixing motorcycles and marksmanship, skills he eagerly passed down to his loved ones.

He is survived by his devoted son, Jedidiah Michael Ivan Heath, and daughter-in-law, Rose Heath, as well as his son, David Valdez, and step-daughter, Christine Fletcher. Michael's legacy of love and resilience will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Heath, who passed away in 2011. Their love continues to inspire and guide their family, reminding us all of the importance of togetherness and support.

As we gather to honor Michael's memory, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and a wealth of memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
