Richard Frank Pippy, passed away on April 22, 2026, at the Sullivan Park Care Center in Spokane, Washington. Born on January 25, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, New York, Richard’s life was marked by service, both to his country and his community, as well as a steadfast commitment to his family.

Richard earned his bachelor’s degree, which laid the foundation for his respected career in accounting. Beyond his professional achievements, he proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and patriotism.

On June 12, 1971, Richard married Evelyn at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Yonkers, New York. Their union was a cornerstone of his life, characterized by enduring love and partnership. Evelyn’s passing preceded Richard’s, joining his parents, William Pippy and Lucy De Angelo, in the loving memory of those who came before him.

Richard is survived by his two sons, Richard J. Pippy and Christopher M. Pippy, who carry forward his legacy and the values he cherished deeply. His family, along with friends and all who knew him, will remember Richard as a man of integrity, kindness, and dedication.

His life journey, from Mt. Vernon to his final days in Spokane, is a story of honor and devotion. Richard was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Antiochian Orthodox Church in Post Falls, ID. 

Richard Frank Pippy’s contributions, both personal and professional, have left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered.
