Robert Gene Pittsley, a dedicated member of the community and a devoted family man, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Post Falls, Idaho. Born on August 25, 1950, in Sidney, Montana, Robert lived a life dedicated to service, education, and love for his family and friends and community that he served.
Robert had a notable career as a Kootenai County Bookkeeper and Disaster Services with the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, where his commitment to helping others shone brightly. A proud member of the Coeur D'Alene Christ the King Church since 1960. He was known for his kind and welcoming nature, always making those around him feel at ease. With a great sense of humor, he shared laughter and joy, which made him beloved by many.
Robert was a proud holder of a bachelor’s degree, a testament to his commitment to education and personal growth. He always put his family first, and this devotion was reflected in the cherished memories shared by those who knew him well.
He is survived by his children, Robert and Sabrina; his sister, Annabelle; and his grandchildren, Sky, Caitlin, Alexander, and Brodey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eleanore Pittsley, whose love and guidance helped shape the remarkable person he became.
A service to honor Robert's life will be held on December 6, 2025, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, located at 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived.
