Ryan Diederichs, 49, passed away on October 2, 2025, in Post Falls, Idaho. Born in Riverside, California, on September 3, 1976, Ryan lived a life marked by deep connections with family and friends and a lifelong passion for sports and the outdoors.
A graduate of Riverside Poly High School, Ryan carried the spirit of Southern California with him wherever he went. He found joy and freedom in nature - whether carving down snowy slopes on his snowboard or skimming across the water on skis. Baseball was a lifelong love that reflected his energy and competitive spirit. A devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan, he proudly cheered, “Go Blue!” until the very end.
After moving to Post Falls, Ryan joined the maintenance department for the Post Falls School District, where he quickly made friends and was often seen tending the grounds - whether mowing in summer or clearing snow in winter. His easygoing nature and bright smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Ryan was a dedicated father to his four children - Brady, Rylan, Declan, and Keegan. He cherished the privilege of being a stay-at-home dad and took immense pride in watching his children grow. His love for them was evident to all who knew him, and the memories they shared together will be treasured forever.
Ryan is lovingly remembered by his children, Brady, Rylan, Declan, and Keegan; his parents, Tom and Lynette Diederichs; his sister, Alisa Diederichs; his brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Alicia; and his nephews, Levi and Beau. His loving partner, Amanda Spencer, stood by him with unwavering devotion and care. He will also be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ryan’s greatest legacy lives on in his children, who embody his warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit. His love for them and the lessons he shared will continue to guide their lives and the lives of all who knew him. Though his time here was far too short, his kindness, laughter, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4375 Jackson St, Riverside, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ryan’s honor to the Kootenai Health Foundation, designated for the Post Falls Cancer Center. Gifts in Ryan’s memory can be made online at www.kootenaihealthfoundation.org or by mailing a check to:
