Sharon Patricia Fraser Baker, a vibrant soul and beloved matriarch, departed this world on November 1, 2025, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Born on October 17, 1932, in San Francisco, California, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Cecil Dunbar Fraser and Olive Jessie Louise Jones (Fraser).

A dedicated educator, Sharon graduated from San Francisco State with an Elementary teaching degree, a testament to her passion for nurturing young minds. For six fulfilling years, she taught school, committing herself to the education of children until she embraced the joys of motherhood. On August 22, 1954, in the same city she called home, Sharon married the love of her life, Harry K. Baker, embarking on a new chapter filled with love and family.

Her journey took her from Sunnyvale to San Jose, California, with time spent in Austin, Texas, before returning to San Jose. After a career spanning fabric stores and property management, she found her way to Medford, Oregon, where she enjoyed 26 years of warmth and community, finally settling in Rathdrum, Idaho.

Sharon’s giving spirit shone brightly through her philanthropic endeavors. She dedicated many years to the Sororities and the Eastern Star, bravely stepping into various leadership roles, including Grand Worthy Matron. Her heart was committed to numerous causes close to her, particularly the Shriners Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Through her travels across the state and country, she spread kindness and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on many lives.

Hobbies such as sewing, crafting, and quilting filled Sharon's days with creativity and joy, each stitch a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She found solace in creating beautiful pieces that intertwined with cherished memories of family and friends.

Sharon is survived by her two sons, Ed of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Steve of Morrisville, North Carolina. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren—Jennifer of Milwaukie, Oregon; Shareen of Kelowna, British Columbia; Sarah of Ennis, Montana; Eric of Gilbert, Arizona; and Jessica of Sandy, Utah. A proud grandmother, she also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom carries a piece of her loving heart.

As we remember Sharon Patricia Fraser Baker, we celebrate her unwavering love, her generous spirit, and a life dedicated to family, service, and community. She will be profoundly missed, yet her love will forever be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
