Sharron Rae Alkire

Sharron was born August 1, 1956 to Calvin McDonald and Jeraldine Braswell (maiden name) in San Gabriel, California. Early in 1970, she married Donald Roddy in Southern California; they had a daughter in 1974 and named her Rhonda Kaye Roddy. When Sharron and Don divorced, she and daughter Rhonda moved to Warsaw, Missouri to be near her sister Sandy for approximately 5 years. In 1980 Sharron and Rhonda moved to Rathdrum, Idaho to be near her sister Karen. There she met Robert Alkire; they had a daughter in 1985 named Ashley Marie Alkire. Sharron was diagnosed with cancer in February of 2017. In April of 2019 she entered into Hospice care and lost her fight with cancer on October 25, 2020 at Bristol Heights Assisted Living Center in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Before her passing, she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior on October 22, 2020. Praise God for his continued love and promises. Sharron’s eldest daughter Rhonda passed away November 13, 2010 due to sepsis. Rhonda is survived by her 3 children, Sharron’s grandchildren; sons Justin and Dakota and daughter Camber and each have one child of their own; Sharron’s great-grandchildren, Aabell, Chevy and Loki. Sharron is survived by her daughter Ashley Alkire, and Ashley’s 4 children, Sharron’s grandchildren, sons: Michael, Kayden and Mason and daughter Makinzee. She is also survived by her siblings; Bradley Ruggles of Oregon, Jeff Walsten of California, Cheryl Vilaubi of Arizona, and Karen Heath of and Calvin McDonald Jr. of North Idaho and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sharron had 3 other siblings who were deceased years ago; twins Ronald & Donald, Robbie and Sandra. Sharron enjoyed working and had many different occupations during her life; a clerk, built computer keyboards, ran a child daycare, worked as a caregiver and was a server and cook in a restaurant. She was an extremely hard worker and many enjoyed working beside her.
