In loving memory of Shirley A. Doty Grant, 75, of Coeur d’Alene, ID, who passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2026.
Shirley was born on June 11, 1951, in Glide, OR, to David and Agnes Doty, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Post Falls High School in 1969 and returned to education in 1989 to earn an AAS degree from NIC.
She dedicated many years to her work at Cove Bowl Bowling Alley and the Post Falls Eagles, where she served as a bartender, manager, and secretary before retiring.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Ken Grant; her cherished children, Carrie and Kimberly Grant; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Barbra Doty of Spokane, WA, and Donna Harris of Post Falls, ID, along with several nieces and nephews.
A woman of many passions, Shirley loved bowling, playing pool, and embarking on float trips along the Spokane River and the St. Joe. She held fond memories of camping trips on the Coeur d’Alene River, visits to Ponderay Lake, and adventures to Canada, the Oregon coast, Glacier, and Yellowstone parks.
A celebration of her life will be held at Mountain Lakes Bible Church, led by Pastor David Bruyette, on September 12 at 3:00 PM, at 2215 N 7th, Coeur d’Alene, ID.
Shirley will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.
