Shirley Betty Shapiro

Shirley Shapiro was born March 20, 1929 in Los Angeles California to immigrant parents. Her father was a farm laborer and was able to raise his family with strong family values and American ethics. Shirley earned a five-year scholarship while in high school, to the Juilliard school of music in New York City. Shirley was a concert pianist but gave this opportunity up to raise her family of four children six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to the family always putting her family first. She was married 71 years to her hero Murray Shapiro. Shirley passed away on February 25, 2026 in Coeur d'Alene.
