Wayne Robert Turple

December 26, 1957 — April 3, 2023

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Wayne Robert Turple, on April 3rd, 2023. Wayne passed away at his home in Rathdrum, ID with his spouse and best friend, Rebecca, by his side. Wayne was born at Nelm's hospital in Snoqualmie, Washington on December 26, 1957. Wayne spent most of his life growing up in the Snoqualmie Valley. Wayne was a graduate of MT SI HIGH SCHOOL, Snoqualmie, WA. An avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, large bar-b-ques for family reunions, events put together for all the kids, was what Wayne looked forward to. Wayne spent all the time he could on the water with his wife, Rebecca. The two of them Salmon fished, went crabbing, oystering as well as camping, gardening, and raising animals. Since moving to Rathdrum Id, Wayne loved to attend the annual Garlic Festival yearly. Wayne met many new friends at the Garlic Festival and had the time of his life. Wayne always had a great time wherever or whatever he did. He never met a stranger and was the kindest man you'd ever meet. Wayne put together a recipe for making his own garlic ice cream and joined the Garlic Festival, selling his ice cream. It was a very hot item at the festival and went fast. Very seldom would you see Wayne without his Rebecca by his side. They canned together, they laughed together, went on many adventures over the 38 years they were married. Wayne was a rock for his spouse, Rebecca, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and his siblings. Wayne never missed a birthday call, to wish everyone a "Happy Birthday". When the day was done, he had nothing but positive things to brag about, when it came to his entire family. Very seldom would you see Wayne without a tie-dyed shirt on. This was his favorite type of T-shirt to wear. Yes, Wayne loved growing up in the 70's and 80's. Wayne is survived by his spouse, Rebecca of 38 years. His six boys, Tim, Sean, Carey Dean, Derek, David, and Travis. Twenty-eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His siblings, Don Allan, Ron Clayton, Cathy Ott, Marlene Young, Phil Turple, Joan Thompson and Ed Allan. Also, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law, and many friends. Numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Barbara Allan and Butch Allan. His father, Marvin Turple and Ruth. Sister Wendy Jean, Robert, Ernie, and sisters, Patricia, & Joyce. The family would like to give special thanks to the compassionate medical providers that cared for Wayne, both in the hospital and at his home the night of his passing. A big thank-you to the friends and neighbors who have provided love and support for Rebecca during the past 2 months. Wayne leaves a huge hole in many lives. We will miss his generosity, his compassion for others, his love for his family, his tie-dyed T-shirts, and his laughter. His smile and laughter will live with us forever. Family was his life, and especially was filled with the love he had for his spouse Rebecca, his boys, and his grandchildren.
